MARRAKECH

Where to stay in Marrakech? The choice is overwhelming, with around ten times as many guesthouses as there are in Fez. If you want a totally relaxing holiday away from the medina, head for guesthouses in the Palmeraie. But for a first (or second) trip to Marrakech, you'll probably want to explore the medina and the excitement of Djmaa el Fna, the main square, so it's a good idea to stay in the medina within walking distance of the square. At Fez Riads, we've stayed in many of the guesthouses owned by Marrakech Riads, and you can book them through us in the normal way. They're all simply yet comfortably furnished in great style.

Also part of the Marrakech Riads stable is the café litteraire Dar Cherifa, just around the corner from Djmaa el Fna, as well as the excellent Moroccan restaurant, Dar Zellij.
